Terms and conditions

1. To take part in this promotion, entrants must pre-order either the hardback, audiobook or e-book UK editions of What Am I Missing? (Hardback ISBN 9780241624982, audiobook ISBN 9781405965774 or e-book ISBN 9780241624999) from any UK retailers by 23:59 BST on Wednesday 3rd April 2024.

2. This promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, with the exception of employees of the Promoter and their group companies, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion. 

3. Entry via proof of pre-order must be received by 23:59 BST on Wednesday 3rd April 2024. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach the Promoter by the relevant closing date for any reason. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Automatically generated entries or entries via agents or third parties are invalid and shall not be considered. Entries become the property of the Promoter and are not returned.

4. Only one entry per person. No entrant may win more than one prize.

5. To enter provide proof of pre-order of What Am I Missing?  from any UK retailer (scan, photo or copy of email confirmation) with your name and postal address via the Survey Monkey link – please do not submit any bank details with your proof of pre-order.

6. All valid and correctly completed entries received by the closing date will be entered into a prize draw to win:
1 x 60 minute 1-2-1 Online Therapy session with Emma Reed Turrell

The prize draw will take place on Thursday 11th April and one winner will be selected.
7. The prize is non-transferrable, and no cash alternative will be offered. The promoters’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.

8. The winners will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date (i.e. by 1st May 2024). The winner must claim their prize within 30 days of the promoter sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules.

9. By entering this competition, all entrants agree to the use of their personal data by the Promoter for the purposes of running the competition as detailed in these terms and conditions.  10. Entrants’ personal details will be destroyed on completion of this promotion.

11. The Promoter may disqualify any entrant whose entry does not comply with these terms and conditions (in Promoter’s sole opinion) or who, in Promoter’s sole determination, has acted in a manner that is fraudulent, dishonest or unjust to other entrants including, without limitation, tampering with the operation of the competition, manipulating or rigging votes, hacking, deceiving, cheating or by harassing or threatening other entrants or a representative of Promoter.

12. We will make the winner’s name and county available on request to the following email address PGBooksPublicity@penguinrandomhouse.co.uk (please state the name of the competition in the subject heading 10 weeks after the closing date).  If you do not want your name and county to be made available in the event that you win, please let us know by emailing PGBooksPublicity@penguinrandomhouse.co.uk. Please note we are required to make the winner’s details available to the ASA if requested.
